ARKTOR Rescue
When Windows is no longer a reliable starting point, ARKTOR Rescue boots from separate recovery media so the machine can be inspected, data can be recovered and repair work can begin without depending on the installed Windows session.
Start outside the broken system.
Recovery is hardest when the operating system you need to diagnose is also the thing that is failing. ARKTOR Rescue moves the first step outside that dependency: boot separately, establish a controlled session, inspect before changing anything and preserve data before attempting repair.
What has been proven on real hardware

- Persistent endpoint identity and reconnect after reboot
- Read-only Windows volume discovery and diagnosis
- Real data rescue with independent hash verification
What Rescue is for today
- Inspect a Windows PC that cannot be trusted to boot normally
- Discover disks, Windows installations and recovery partitions
- Recover selected user data before repair work
- Run approved diagnostic and recovery tools in the Rescue environment
- Keep consequential repair decisions with the human operator
Physical recovery proof is not the same as a finished repair product.
- Continuous ARKTOR operation across Rescue → reboot → Windows/WinPE is the next milestone and is not yet accepted
- A positive locked-BitLocker recovery case has not yet been proven
- Broad destructive Windows-repair scenarios are not claimed
- V0.1 is a physically accepted engineering prototype, not a general public download
Keep the repair session alive across the reboot.
The next proof target is continuity: Rescue prepares the machine, the PC reboots into the next repair or Windows environment, and ARKTOR returns automatically so diagnosis and verification can continue. Until that physical handoff passes, V0.1 remains the accepted rollback baseline.
ARKTOR Rescue V0.1 is physically accepted for boot, controlled remote diagnosis, read-only Windows inspection and verified data rescue. General release remains gated.
