Useful AI work becomes unreliable when context is scattered across conversations, folders and notes. ARKTOR VAULT keeps durable knowledge local, structured and traceable.
What it can do
- Obsidian-compatible local knowledge vault
- Read, search, context, verification and summary operations
- Loopback-only Rust bridge for controlled access
- Approved durable-memory writes with backup, hashing, verification, audit and rollback; destructive deletion remains separately gated
How it is intended to work
- Store approved knowledge in structured Markdown
- Search or retrieve only the context needed for a task
- Return source-aware context to ARKTOR, AURON or another approved client
- Apply approved durable updates through controlled backup, verification, audit and rollback paths
Limits and unfinished work
- No broad automatic writes or deletes
- No public cloud sync is required or assumed
- The current foundation is private and operator-controlled
